Project Wadi Attir is a groundbreaking initiative of a Bedouin community in the Negev desert, establishing a model sustainable farm that leverages Bedouin traditional values, know-how and experience with "The Sustainability Laboratory's" signature approach to development. Some of these days I had the great pleasure to spend a few hours with Dr. Michael Ben-Eli, who is the founder of both the Lab and the holistic project Wadi Attir with sustainability principles, which are not only related to the Material, Economic and Social, but also to Life, and Spiritual Domains. He was a close associate of R. Buckminster Fuller, with whom he collaborated on research. PRIZE OF THE INTERRELIGIOUS JURY The french-argentine film "Madres de los dioses" (Mothers of the Gods) of filmmaker Pablo Agüero has won the Prize of the Interreligous Jury of the international documentary filmfestival «Visions du Réel» (Visions of Reality) in Nyon, Switzerland. This film is artistically utterly convincing and tells its story in a very subtle way. The jury explained their choice among others with the fact, that the film focuses on the search of the women and not on the closure, which is paramount for a dialog amongst different belief systems. When it comes to healing in our days I sometimes think that even the old and in former times daily used technics of healing and the daily handwork which might seam more practical but has a capacity to heal us too must be healed themselves or at least regained by us.
Renate Hiller co-director of the Fiber Craft Studio explains very well some of my own thoughts about using our hands in daily live more in a "healing" way and what kind of value, pleasure and even meditative energy we can gain from doing so: "I’m spinning wool with a stone spindle. Writer, speaker and author Charles Eisenstein of whome I have frequently written on the oralab blog is also editor of Reality Sandwich, which is an online magazine of ideas for the transformational community. Four years ago there he wrote an article called: The Three Seeds. For me it fits perfectly into my series of articles of the last days around Earth Day, which are all dealing with our attitude towards nature and mother earth and are showing that the seeds of Reunion are sprouting everywhere and transformation is taking place. After the above-noted quotation Charles continues:  "The realization of the aliveness of the non-human is the crack in the paradigm, a shift from understanding nature as passive, unfeeling, and mechanical, to seeing the non-human all around us as aware ..." Luanne Armstrong "Animals, plants, and even fungi are more 'aware' than people previously thought, which raises questions about how that might change our relationships with other living beings." So says the latest newsletter of the Global Oneness Project which aims "to bring the world to our classrooms". The website inspires students to rethink their relationship to the world through free distribution of stories and educational materials.
